다른 사람들이 어떻게 봤는지 너무너무 궁금하다! 다형체의 여지를 남기는 영화는 참 낯설다.

8:30에 영화가 시작되었는데, 셀프 촬영한 포르노로 시작하는 장면을 그 큰, 영화의전당 하늘연극장에서 보자니 그 느낌이 참 기괴했다. 게다가 표가 너무 앞쪽이라 계속 올려다보는 느낌이 조금 괴롭기도 했다.

억울할 수 있겠다. 그런데 사회적 지위와 책임에 대해서도 그냥 넘길 수는 없다. 생각해볼만한, 생각의 여지가 있는 주제. 개인의 사적인 영역을 개인의 공적인 생활로부터 완전히 별개의 삶으로 분리해 인정해도 되는 것일까.

영화를 보고 나왔을 때 영화관 밖 하늘이 참 맑았다. 그런데 머리는 좀 깨질 것 같았다. 아무래도 커피가 필요했던듯!

Radu Jude is one of the most prominent figures in Romanian cinema, and the latest addition to his esteemed filmography is Bad Luck Banging and Loony Porn, winner of the 2021 Berlinale Golden Bear. True to its provocative and sardonic title, the film centers around Emi, a schoolteacher who has filmed a sex tape with her husband, but finds her reputation at risk after the tape is leaked on the internet. The video is circulated among her (underage) students, and very soon colleagues and parents demand an investigation. The film is divided into three chapters. In the first, Emi wanders the streets of Bucharest, where she is captured in closed-circuit like footages. The second chapter presents viewers with a montage-style visual dictionary of obscenity. Finally, in the third, relentlessly candid chapter, Emi faces her accusers, opening a can of worms that is impossible to close again. The director suggests three outcomes, leaving it up to viewers how the story should resolve itself. (Karen PARK)
